If you are reading this, don’t just assume that someone else will step up and do it. We need EVERYONE’S help to make this Humane Society a success. We always need more volunteers so the same few are not overburdened.

Marlboro County citizens, we must have your help to do this! There are NO PAID EMPLOYEES. We have a core group of volunteers who are spending all their spare time feeding/cleaning and

We have set a tentative date that the Humane Society of Marlboro County will move into the repaired Marlboro County Animal Shelter.

Saturday, August 11 we will need as many volunteers as possible to help us move in! We will need pickup trucks and trailers to move kennels, etc from our current holding location to the shelter.

A more detailed list of our needs will be posted soon.

We have a wonderful Success Story to share with you all! This is Rosie who we pulled from the Marlboro County Animal Shelter last year in the flurry of activity just after the videos and photos were made public. Rosie was sent to a Rottie rescue group up north and has now found her Forever Home!

Here is a note from her new family who adore her:
“I wanted to tell you how great Rosie is doing! She is such an awesome dog. Lovable, playful, obedient, great with my kids and very tolerant of my one year old We are amazed at how well she listens and how fast she learns. Whoever didn’t want her, sure did miss out! We love her and feel so lucky to have her!!
Thank you so much for bringing her up to PA so we could find her and bring her into our lives. We feel like it was meant to be!”

The Humane Society of Marlboro County has finalized our lease on the Marlboro County Shelter! We are working out the details and waiting on the county to make some much needed repairs.

We will keep everyone posted on a volunteer clean-up/project date.
